13. Shall I Continue?
Well, here we are! Three months into this Substack adventure, and I’ve managed to churn out a cool dozen articles. I said I’d write twelve and delivered as promised. It only feels like I’m just warming up. I’ve got a veritable cornucopia of thoughts swirling around in my head, but the real question is: do you want to keep reading?
Now, on average, it takes me a couple of hours to whip up an article. I find it rather therapeutic and more than a little helpful for my own art practice. Something like yoga, but with fewer downward dogs and more introspection about art, faith, and that elusive spark of creativity. But it might be nice to earn a few beans while I’m at it.
Speaking of which, there’s a tempting option to put a paywall on some of these gems. But I’m divided on whether to keep going making it free for all. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. What do you reckon?
Now, let’s get to the nitty-gritty: what have you enjoyed reading so far? My musings have been a mix of art, faith, and creativity. I’ve got a few ideas brewing about the creativity of Jesus, the realities of life as a professional artist, and some good, old-fashioned thoughts on creativity for everyone. If there’s something specific you’re itching to read about, don’t hold back, let me know.
And as we wrap this up, a huge thank you for following my ramblings thus far, dear reader. I hope you’ve enjoyed them as much as I’ve relished writing them.

I’ve found your musings very good and thoughtful - and I would definitely miss them. I like the interplay of these three things: the purpose of art, the purpose of the artist who is a Christian, and the ordinary struggles of the artist’s life. It’s an important and valuable mix, I think. Keep it up.
Sorry I can’t realistically offer to help pay towards it - but you’re right to aim for it to be part of your artist’s income
Hello! I’ve enjoyed hearing your voice/accent/wisdom and would be keen to hear more of that. The topic of Jesus and his creativity is really interesting. I’d say if you’re enjoying the process, do continue. Happy to chat about when I turned on paid in my Substack journey.
